Joe Mauer helped push the Twins over the Royals 8-1 last night in a win that clinched them a playoff spot. At worst the Twins till head to the playoffs as the American League wild card. There’s a slight chance they can still win the division.

Mauer went 2-3 last night with with 1 run and 1 rbi. He was also walked two times. The two hits jumped his batting average up to .349! A few more games like that can he could be at .360 by the end of the year. Mauer also caught a great game behind the plate.

The Twins will go for their 4th win in a row tonight in the 2nd game in their series with the Royals.
