Joe Mauer helped the Twins on two occasions last night against the New York Yankees. In a 5-1 Minnesota victory, Joe contributed 1 hit, 1 rbi, and 1 run. He also had a sacrifice bunt in the 5th inning that almost put another run on the board.

It wasn’t looking good for the Twins who were trailing until the 6th inning, when they tied the game 1-1. In the bottom of the 8th, the Twins put up 4 more runs to seal the deal.

Mauer is still play great ball. His leg doesn’t seem to be bothering. Joe now has 10 hits on the season through 8 games.
