A terrible June is turning into a hot July for Joe Mauer. Joe’s batting average for the month of June was a shotty .229. He had only 19 hits the entire month.
However, Joe has followed up a bad June with an awesome month in July. While he hasn’t hit for much power this month (no homeruns), he has 20 hits already and is batting .339 for the month.
He has brought his season average back up to .303.
I doubt he’ll be in the run for AL Batting title this year, but he should be able to bring his average up to the high .320s or low .330s by the end of the season.
