Mauer tweaked his hamstring in the 3rd inning against the Orioles the other day. Not good news for the Twins, who are looking to make a playoff run. Mauer already spent a month on the disabled list earlier this year. He’ll be out a few days, and could be headed back to the DL if his hammy doesn’t heal.

“It’s pretty frustrating,” said Mauer, who is batting .294. “I’ve never really been healthy the whole year. Especially this time of the year, when we are trying to make a run.”

“I’m trying to get back out there,” Mauer said. “I just hope it doesn’t take too long.”
