Mauer off to a hot August

Joe Mauer is off to a hot start in August. He’s batting .357 in 4 games. His power is still completely absent though. Only 5 homers on the entire season.

The Twins could really use his bat. They’re struggling right now at 4.5 games out of the division lead and 4 games from the Wild Card spot. At the rate the Yankees are playing, I wouldn’t expect the Twins to have a shot at the WC. They really need to win the division.
