The 2007 season for the Minnesota Twins is officially in the books. Quite an underperforming year if you ask me. The Twins finished below .500 and 17 games back from the 1st place Indians.
Joe Mauer ended his disappointing/injury riddled year with a .293 average, 119 hits, 7 homeruns, 60 RBIs, and 62 runs. Decent numbers for a normal catcher, but far below expectations for someone of Mauer’s calibur.
Here’s to a healthy offseason for Mauer. He needs to take a lot of time rehabbing and getting back in shape. With health, I’m confident he’ll find his stroke again.
