With the Twins putting an end to their 6 year winning streak, Twins fans witnessed a very painful 2007 season. In fact, the team didn’t even make it to the playoffs, which proves to be not that traumatic as the team did not make it to the World Series.
With a rising need of a major reorganization in the team, Terry Ryan has stepped down to become the Senior Advisor to the General Manager while Bill Smith was promoted to Vice President and Player Personnel. Now Rob Anthony is the Assistant General Manager, Brad Steil the Director of Baseball Operations and Deron Johnson the Director of Scouting.
With all these changes in the team, one still has to see if these changes prove to be beneficial and improve or weaken the strength of the team. So wait for the next season to learn more about this.
