The Twins have the option of three players for Hunter’s successor and the team will try to find that person this spring in this group — Carlos Gomez, Jason Pridie and Span. For now, they lack experience and seem to be far different types of offensive players than Hunter.

To prove their ability for center field will be just one thing this spring. All three players know that this is just the start of their test. They will then get on board to try to take over the spot of one of the most adored players in club history. And that is at a position which recently has had a storied history in Minnesota. It might seem like a challenging task to occupy a spot occupied by such greats. However, it appears that each one of the candidates is more than willing to take on the pressure, even if it means playing under the current dazzling spotlight of being “Torii Hunter’s successor.”
