Twins had to say goodbye to two of their best players- Johan Santana and Tori Hunter. Now the Team is preparing for a new phase for the club and with many new faces, Twins are looking forward for a fruitful season.
For the Twins, the health of Liriano will be a focus this spring. He has recovered from an elbow ligament reconstruction surgery but now, his arrival has been a bit delayed due to some visa problems. He is expected to during week coming up.
The team will get its first look this spring at the three young pitchers that it got in return for Santana. Right-handers Kevin Mulvey, Phil Humber and Deolis Guerra will all be part of the mix at big league camp. Other newcomers this spring will be outfielders Carlos Gomez, Delmon Young, Jason Pridie, and Craig Monroe and infielders Mike Lamb, Adam Everett, and Brendan Harris.
The Twins still have their talented catchers Joe Mauer and Redmond, and the also, the entire relief corps which is anchored by Nathan.
The six weeks in Fort Myers will give the Twins the first chance to see how all the new faces will mix in with the talent already possessed by the club.
