Yankees infielder Morgan Ensberg has been a third baseman for most of his career. However, this player is going to make the attempt of switching positions. From third baseman he will be attempting as a right-handed hitting first baseman. Ensberg is just hoping to make some changes in his career.
For four successive seasons, this opening day third baseman, made a career high with 36 home runs in 2005. However, the next year he suffered a right shoulder injury and he has not been the same player ever since.
Ensberg was traded by the Astros to the Padres. However, later on, Padres did not offer him a new contract and therefore, Ensberg became a free agent during the period of 2007. On January 31, 2008, he was signed by the New York Yankees and was invited to spring training where he now expects to compete to be the first baseman.
