The Angels leadoff man, Chone Figgins, has the sixth best batting average in the American League. Since 2006, he brought up his batting average 63 points to .330. His on-base percentage jumping 56 points to .393, he had the highest OBP in the Major Leagues, which was .418. Figgins was the Major’s top hitter from May till the end of last season.
Figgins scored 81 runs in 115 games last year. He averaged 47 steals a year during his first four seasons with the Angels, which includes 41 steals in 115 games in 2007.
