Liriano Appearing on Friday’s Game

After a long wait, Francisco Liriano is about to make his first appearance in the Spring Training game this Friday. During his batting session on Tuesday, he made 45 pitches and he felt ready to take his next step. The team plan is to have him pitch in one of the two- split squad games.

Since his Tommy John elbow ligament surgery in November, 2006,
