In Mumbai, marksmen are threatening to boycott the 2008 China Olympics unless their government steps in to do something about the problem of ammunition shortage.

This is certainly bad news as India is expected to bring home a gold medal for this sport. Top marksmen have been quoted as saying that the government used to provide their ammunition but this all stopped about 2 years ago.

The marksmen feel bad that they have been treated so badly even after the honor they bring to their country. A lot of them do not feel like it is worth competing in the Olympics.

India in the past has only managed to bring home 8 gold medals. If there marksmen refuse to compete, it will mean an even lesser chance for them at this year’s games.
