Due to a non-displaced fracture on the right middle finger, Cubs outfielder, Alfonso Soriano, will not be playing for five days in the Cactus League games. The small chip in his finger happened on Sunday as he was catching balls at the outfield wall. The ball hit his finger when he reached up to make a two-handed catch.

Soriano will not be able
to swing a bat or throw a ball till the swelling comes down.

For the Cubs, a lot of injuries occurred during this spring.
Infielder Mark DeRosa was hospitalized. Pitcher Jose Ascanio got punched ,because of a twisted testicle, outfielder Felix Pie missed out on a few days. Also, third baseman Aramis Ramirez has a sore right shoulder and he still remains sidelined.
