Piazza retires

Mike Piazza has announced his retirement after his 16-season career in which he has hit one of the top-hitting catchers for Major League Baseball history.After discussions with his agent and family Mike Piazza decided to retire after a really great career in professional baseball.The 39-year-old Piazza has been a free agent as of last season with Oakland and had not yet signed with any new club. His spokesman Josh Goldberg, announced the news at a press conference.
