I’v always loved seafood! They’re soo delicious, so simple to prepare, they tell you when they’re ready and best of all, theyre really really health for you and so good for your body!

My mom has had this recipe for Delicious baked scallops that are always a hit! I haven’t met anyone who hasn’t loved them!

First she buys some fresh scallops and cleans them by running water through them. If you want, you can buy the frozen variety- just make sure they are still attached to their fan shaped shell. Next, you sprinkle these scallops with salt and pepper. This will bring out their natural sweetish flavor.
Next, chop up some garlic and put some on the scallops. Our own recipe uses up a lot because we like the kick. Put as much as you desire. If you are planning to serve this for kids, I suggest sprinkling a bit of brown sugar on them. The brown sugar will set the garlic off nicely and will provide more sweetness which kids love!

Next, grate so cheese over them. Good cheddar cheese will suffice. Make sure the cheese is “melty” and will turn bubbly. Lastly, sprinkle olive oil over the scallops.

Pre-heat your oven to about 300 degrees and bake your scallops for about 2 minutes, or until they turn opaque. Remember that scallops cook quickly and can be tough when overcooked so watch them!

Now there’s nothing lft to do but enjoy these wonderful scallops!

I think this recipe is so good that it is worth making for a seafood Cook off! What about you? Do you have a prize winning seafood recipe of your own?

If you o, you should enter the Great American Seafood Cook-off! It’s also a great place to learn new recipes for the whole family to enjoy!
